110lb cardstock is generally what I use, though I'm not sure of the metric/ISO equivalent, if there is any (stupid frapping imperial measurements...)

Oh don't worry, it will ;) What I recommend would be to run the stand over your leg, like you were drying it with a towel. This should give it a nicely curved shape which you can adjust if need be. Cardstock retains the shape surprisingly well, but if worse comes to worst, a length of copper wire might do the trick.
