I have downloaded the free paper model of the Edmund Fitzgerald however I have never built a paper model before and the PDF does not contain any instructions. Are they available either for free or for a fee which I am willing to pay. My father in law sailed these ore boats for 50 years and I am looking forward to giving this a go.

Thanks

Wow, that's amazing that your in-law sailed on these boats!  Even if I did require a fee, I'd give this model to you for free, as I know your family has a history with these vessels.  Unfortunately, I do not at the time have any instructions for my models.  Generally, I label the areas where corresponding parts go, and for experience modelers, that is more than enough.  I would not recommend beginners to start out with models like this.

What pieces exactly are giving you a problem?

do you know the scale of this model? I'm trying to make a papercraft port. is it 1:500 like most of your other ships?

"When suppertime came the old cook came on deck and said, 'Fellas, it's too rough to feed you', at 7pm the main hatchway caved in, he said,'Fellas, it's been good to know you' ....... And the church-bells chimed; they rang 29 times for each man on the Edmund Fitzgerald..."
- "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"
by Gordon Lightfoot.

For most of my lifetime I've known the above song well.
And whilst I knew the story of the vessel, I'd not known what it actually looked like, because I was never familiar with Ore Carriers, nor much other civilian maritime shipping.
Thus, to see a model of the Edmund Fitzgerald is a true pleasure, and one I Thank you for, Bryan, because I truly appreciate it, and the effort you put into designing and releasing it.

Kind and Respectful Regards Bryan my friend, Uyraell.

That song is one of my favorites, and I'm glad you enjoy the model!

This is amazing man! As a Michigan native this thing blew me away. Got to love Michigan folklore and history regarding the Lakes.

Hey, thanks man; glad you like it!

How's EqD doing by the way? I've been too busy with other projects to get back into the pony fandom like I used to, hahah

EqD is still going strong! Still hoping more papercraft stuff would show up for us to put into our Craft Compilations. Maybe one day! Anyhow, wishing you the best bud!
