Well, I was almost done with a model of the Hindenburg when I remembered that I'd wanted to do something for Bronycon... I'm surprised that I managed to slap this together in less than a day.

This would probably make more sense were the con still BroNYCon instead of being in freaking Jersey.

UPDATE: I added a new feature to this papercraft that makes it as flammable as the real Bronycon!

Even living in NY, I still don't understand the relevance of this papercraft...but it's well done none the less :)

There are HO buildings made by a model company called DPM that look like these. I even have some of them on my train set long before my little pony came out.

Ohhhh you're going too? Do you have a table? I'd love to look at your papercraft in real life :D

Well, unfortunately I don't have a table set up - too much logistics, money and what-have-you for me to handle :P. However, I've sent some of my stuff in to the Traveling Pony Museum which will (considering that everything goes well) be at the convention. I'll probably drop by there sometime during the day if you want to say hi.

Normally I'd object, but since I couldn't go anyway you can keep BroNYcon. No idea why they moved it to Secaucus, it's got NY in the name for cryin' out loud.

exactly! I mean, BroNYCon was a perfectly clever name, if the damn thing was in NYC as it should be, but "Bronycon" just sounds...eugh. Not to mention that instead of it being conveniently located in good ol' Manehattan, I have to haul my ass to NJ...

God forbid you have to go a few miles out of New York City!

...in all seriousness, the name change still bothers me. I think the old one could have been kept. They're still in NY, sorta, just relocated to a larger space since Manhattan is too small for large events like this one. But in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter. Same convention with some extra minutes of travel time so you'll be less cramped. Worth it.

Because getting ripped off by that hobo and that 2-hour busride that was meant to be 17 minutes was totally convenient :P
